I thought I would participate in Aloha Friday from Kailani's blog. It is just a chance for me to ask you a simple question and get a simple answer.
Tonight, my husband is taking my son on a Father/Son camp out with our church. This is the first time my baby has been away from me overnight. That's more than 2 years! I am going to have the whole house to myself! :)
So, my question is, what would you do (or have you done) with a night and morning all to yourself?
Since I have been so tired lately, I will most likely go to bed early, maybe after I watch a chick flick. But then I will probably get up and go to some yard sales. There are quite a few bigger ones going on this weekend. Hopefully they will be good. I might even go shopping for Father's Day, or even clean up the house. We'll see how much energy I have. :)

"What can...young mother[s] [do]...to reduce the pressure [of raising young children] and enjoy [their families] more?...Recognize that the joy of motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times and frustrating times. But amid the challenges, there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction... [Treasure] the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less."

My kiddos are gone for the weekend too! I am not sure what to do with myself but I am definitely thinking that there should be chocolate...lots and lots of chocolate.
No wait-that means tums for heartburn. Lots and lots of tums...
Enjoy your time!
Wow. I would LOVE a night alone...someday.
I'd get the yard work done (because I love mowing the lawn). Then I'd finish all the laundry and vacuum the stairs (because they are impossible to vacuum with a two year old hanging on your leg). Then I'd find some delicious Thai take out and run to red box for something funny. Of course there would be lots of treats too. Then i'd sleep in. Sad that my most exciting thing to do when kids are gone is clean huh?
I SHOULD vacuum. My son really doesn't like the vacuum (at least our big one) so I have a hard time vacuuming when he is around--which is all the time. :)
I'd get some yummy take-out and a milkshake to enjoy while watching a chick flick. I hate going to sleep when hubby's not there so I'd probably stay up way too late.
In the morning I'd take a loooooong shower and then try to get some amazing cleaning done.
I hope you have fun!!
your plan sounds nice and that's about what I would do.
I would probably add in there giving myself a pedicure.

I have no idea...I'd probably end up doing a lot of blogging :)
When my kids were young and going on the Father/Son campouts I always had my daughter home with me.
If you are truly alone...do what you cannot do joy wih the "men" at home. You can clean with everyone home but not necessarily sit in bed with ice cream, a good movie and a magazine or two.
Do enjoy yourself!!
I would read a good book or watch a good movie and then sleep in.
I don't have kids at home so I can pretty much do whatever, whenever however if hubby were to be gone overnight, I would probably order in dinner (he's the cook LOL) and play around online, business stuff, blogging, etc.
Sleep in!
Enjoy a bubble bath with candles and soft music.
Chic Flick definitely.
Any ice cream or chocolate chip cookie dough in the house?
Paint my nails.
Read.
Your plan sounds great!
Mine would be along the same lines. Chick Flick while I paint my nails, Bubble bath with a good book, Sat. shopping all by myself.
I probably would do one thing that needs done so that I wouldn't feel guilty later. Something like clean out my underwear drawer that's easier done without help. :)
Whatever you do - hope you have fun!

ah, i remember those times (now i wish i had kids at home).
i remember going shopping a lot - even if i didn't buy anything. i would also pamper myself with a bubble bath, a movie on dvd, and a quiet house.
hope you enjoyed yourself.
Sleep, blog, watch reruns of Law and Order . . . maybe one day! LOL!

Funny how our perspective changes when we have kids. Going to be early NEVER would have been at the top of my list but last night, that is just what I did!
